What is COPY?

COPY stands for "The Contact Organizer for POOSD with Yadavally." COPY is the website built by Team 1 for the Small Project assignment required by the Processes of Object Oriented Software Development (aka "POOSD" or COP 4331C) at the University of Central Florida (UCF) in Orlando, FL. Our section of the course (section 3) is being taught by Dr. Aashish Yadavally during the Spring 2026 semester. This website implements the LAMP tech stack (Linux, Apache, MySQL, and PHP) and is hosted on a DigitalOcean virtual server with a domain purchased from GoDaddy.com.

COPY was designed to be an easy way to manage your own personal contact list. COPY supports the following features: All in all, COPY is "The ULTIMATE Contact Manager!" We greatly appreciate you taking the time to use our site and to learn more about it! You can find our GitHub repository containing our code here.

COPY was developed by Team 1 - A group of 6 undergraduate Computer Science students at The University of Central Florida in Orlando, FL. They are:

Adam Betinsky

Adam Betinsky - Project Manager & Frontend Developer

Adam is a Junior at UCF studying Computer Science. He is originally from Minneapolis, Minnesota and moved to Florida to escape the frigid frozen winters of the Midwest. Adam has experience programming in many programming languages, with his favorites being C and Java. Despite taking many Computer Science classses before, this is Adam's first time contributing to a full website.

Adam's Contributions to COPY include:
  • Organizing team meetings.
  • Ensuring the project moved on schedule.
  • Providing templates of what the Frontend of the website could look like.
  • Testing the website for bugs.
  • Building the powerpoint presentation and finalizing the GitHub repository.
Outside of classes, Adam is a Teaching Assistant for 2 Computer Science courses at UCF: Computer Science I and Systems Software. He greatly enjoys teaching others about Computer Science. Furthermore, he is also a Research Assistant with The APPLeSEEd Lab @ UCF.

Benjamin Quintero

Benjamin Quintero - Frontend Developer

Ben is currently a Junior studying Computer Science at the University of Central Florida. He has prior experience using C, C++, and Java, in classes, and HTML/CSS/JS, frameworks such as Node.js and Next.js and (a little bit of) Python in Hackathons and other small projects. Outside of school, he enjoys playing video games, watching tv and movies, listening to music, and reading science fiction books (his favorite is the Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy).

Andrew Reyes

Andrew Reyes - API Developer

Hello! At the time of writing, Andrew is a Junior majoring in Computer Science at The University of Central Florida. He has experience with several programming languages, including Python, C, C#, Javascript, Java, and PHP, with the strongest proficiency in Java. He also has a bit of hands-on experience in project planning and software structuring through various very small personal projects, including mods, plugins, and macros for existing software. For this Contact Manager app, he served as one of the API developers. His main responsibilities focused on designing, building, and documenting the CRUD-based endpoints that handle contact management. He chose this role because he is particularly interested in backend development and has previous experience working with web APIs. He greatly enjoyed working on this project with the rest of the team and hope you enjoy exploring our work!

Noah Gerard

Noah Gerard - API Developer

Noah is a 3rd year Computer Science student passionate about programming. He enjoys writing good and meaningful code and solving cool problems!

Darren Squires

Darren Squires - Database (Backend) & Frontend Developer

Darren is a 3rd year Computer Science student at the University of Central Florida with a strong interest in software development and data systems, specializing in web scraping and data extraction. He also loves logic-based games and puzzles.

Pranav Cheruku

Pranav Cheruku - Database (Backend) & Frontend Developer

Just a dude who's into competitive programming and building software.
